36 Free to Low Cost Support Resources

It’s my birthday! Today I celebrate 36 years of life and purpose. I believe my greatest purpose in life is to help people! But, I know that it is not humanly possible to help everyone, especially as a professional counselor. Thus, I will accept that I "can change the world, one life at a time!”

Nevertheless, a long term goal I have is to develop a foundation that will assist unfunded and underfunded individuals to obtain access to the necessary treatment for their mental health, addiction, and/or adverse life experience needs. In the interim, I want to provide a list of thirty-six (36) free to low-cost support resources whether you’re dealing with an addiction, loss of a loved one, or a mental health crisis. Perhaps, you just need someone to talk with to ventilate your thoughts and feelings.

Many of the resources are peer recovery groups that meet on a weekly basis and accepts a donation or a one-time registration from the group attendees. Some are volunteer run warm and hotlines that will be a safe space to talk about your crisis. While others are websites to connect with a licensed professional at a low cost ($30 to $80) per session or with a monthly subscription.

I hope this helps you in your time of need!
