About
I’m Dr. Crystal Zanders, a passionate counselor with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from the University of the Cumberlands, where I explored the impact of COVID-19 and civil unrest on Black counselor wellness. My educational journey includes a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Concordia University-Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with over a decade of experience, I am committed to providing compassionate care and mentoring future counselors. At Trinity Christian College, I guide students in courses like Lifespan Development and Marriage, Couples, & Family Counseling.
I offer personalized mental health counseling and support women and families through Maven Clinic’s telehealth services. My specialized training in domestic violence, perinatal mood disorders, and infertility counseling allows me to offer empathetic, tailored, and compassionate care.
I love sharing insights at conferences on infertility and grief and engaging in meaningful discussions with fellow professionals. Actively involved in the American Counseling Association, Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors, and other professional groups, I’m always eager to contribute and learn within these vibrant communities.
